FINAL

Charlotte Hornets 115 (14-41) - Utah Jazz 107 (26-31)

THE BOXSCORE

THE BIG STORIES

  • The Hornets extend their winning streak to 4 games and get their first win in Utah since Primoz Brezec was the franchise's center. Charlotte shot 47.6% from 3 on 42 attempts led by Grant Williams who finished with 24 points off the bench. 6 of his 7 made field goals were 3s and he helped start a 14-0 4th quarter run that gave the Hornets a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

  • With more room to drive and set up ISO possessions, Miles Bridges is playing the best basketball of his season. He scored 26 points, hauled in 14 rebounds and added 4 assists. 10 of his 26 came in the decisive 4th quarter.

  • Brandon Miller's offense wasn't explosive or efficient but he made the right play over and over, he was active on defense and ripped the ball away from John Collins in the waning seconds to keep the Jazz from making a comeback run. He was a tone-setter throughout the game. Scoring top open quarters, scoring to end droughts and making plays in crunch time. This was a mature game from a budding league star.

  • The Hornets scored 28 points on 19 turnovers by the Utah Jazz. These were not just unforced errors. Brandon Miller had 4 steals., Martin had 3 and Mann had 2.
